We invite you to two unique workshops exploring Inclusion designed for your teams. International Education Consultant Leo Thompson will lead a highly interactive and practical sessions designed to equip participants with a free Inclusion resource as well as insights that they can use in their own staff training events.
Leo created ‘The Inclusion Umbrella’ infographic earlier this year to facilitate staff training and it has created great interest on social media. What would you say are the key societal areas that Inclusion protects? The metaphor of the umbrella brings to mind role of teachers in mitigating against some of the worst forms of prejudice and misunderstanding caused by exclusion and marginalisation. We encourage participants to look at (and use!) the infographic before the workshops in order to come prepared to discuss and share.

Wednesday 19th October 3pm (UK time)
In the first workshop Leo will introduce the Inclusion Umbrella as well as his motivations for creating it. We will encourage participants to engage with it and share their own experiences. Attendees will be encouraged to take the Inclusion Umbrella back into their own settings to share with colleagues.

In the second session Leo will invite colleagues to share their responses from their own schools and settings. We will then look more closely at the dynamic role of the practitioners in shaping the culture of their diverse schools and working environments.
