Inclusion starts with the ‘place’ of learning itself! How inclusive is your classroom? When considering the ’enabling environment’ of your classroom it is key to be aware of how the space and furniture impacts on the children’s learning*
Nursery World Winner - Cheryl Bedding - will be presenting live from the Community Playthings display room. Cheryl has over 25 years’ experience within the early years and primary sector and is now a consultant, an award-winning trainer, working nationally and internationally. Cheryl’s passion and specialism for understanding and acceptance for neurodiversity within early years and schools is impactful and comes from the heart, as a professional and as parent of two neurodivergent children herself. She is an advocate for true inclusive practice, enabling ALL children to be heard, to be given the tools and connections to thrive and to be celebrated and accepted for their uniqueness. Cheryl Bedding is also offering 20% off a training session for neuroinclusion in your school for the first 5 attendees!
Community Playthings has a long track record of manufacturing beautiful long-lasting furniture that is safe and flexible. Its depth of design creates environments that support the needs of all students. Products are innovative and durable and built from real, solid wood. They inspire play and promote learning, supporting all aspects of child development. What’s more, they’ll survive decades of joyous wear and tear by your children. We will be joined by Curtis Meier of Community Playthings.
We will also be hearing from David Ralph about ‘Mighty Writer’ – described by one headteacher as “The most Inclusive Product I have ever seen in my career!” Mighty Writer is an exciting teaching resource aimed at transforming the way in which children develop core speaking, writing and storytelling skills. Mighty Writer centres on a mat, which acts as a huge visual aid for building sentences and stories. Pupils gather around it on the floor, meaning interactions are far more personal, natural and dynamic. Decisions and choices can be made collaboratively and it focuses attention on the teaching and learning of composition.David will be offering a free themed toolbar (worth up to £60) for every master set purchased within 7 days!
Everyone who registers for this event will be entered into a draw to win this amazing Small sand and water table worth over £500!
